presented at OX Warehouse Macau 2004 and Experimenta Design'05
A pair of T-shirts (for woman and man) starts off with the researching of the fabric’s printing process and take advantage of the usage of such a simple and revolutionary device as the zipper.
One of the main aspects of the project is the printed fabric – fashion and textile design cannot dissociate because, here, their vector and aim are the same. Taken as a whole, the pattern information is a clear, intrinsic part of the T-shirt graphic design, which included cut lines, sow lines, zipper lines, pleat lines…
The intention of these pieces was also to come up with a design that wouldn’t produce any waste material. All the fabric is used up in the production and both the man and woman T-shirts are interdependent.
Finally, by using zippers, T-shirts can be transformed, adapted to different sizes: S, M & L.
